Dauphiné Libéré, 04/12/2010 - Amazement and dismay on Friday morning, when volunteers AGAS (Association of Management and animation of Alpine skiing of Signaraux) discovered a break in the ski lift shack serving four ski slopes, the result of a fire inside the room that had just finished being built. People would have introduced themselves into the hut after using a saw to neutralize the metal shutter lock and then ignited gasoline rags against the cabinets that had previously been broken. The intense heat totally put out of action the electrical cabinet's lift controls.
The damage is incalculable and compromises the Alpine ski season, hurting, in addition to the common ownership of the facilities and the volunteer association that manages the activity, a population for which the family skiing was available. A complaint was filed in the afternoon with the police who have opened an investigation. The military have carried out various investigations to identify the perpetrators of the sabotage. The cost of repairs is estimated at about 20,000 euros. This particularly serious and reprehensible act occurs in a climate of general damage to the level of the commune. Only the Nordic skiing area and snowshoeing is accessible.
