A delivery man was preparing to deposit meal cheques at a pharmacy located in Herstal, Tuesday morning, when he was robbed by a gunman. After receiving a few blows, the victim gave the keys of his vehicle whose cargo was about 300,000 euros. The vehicle was quickly recovered, but there was nothing inside.
The robbers were probably well informed and the driver had undoubtedly been tracked. They knew all the places and times of passage. In addition, they committed the attack near the highway at a place where they could easily escape and in the early morning when the lorry was still full.
Currently, the police are trying to track the criminal network that committed the robbery. But for this we must wait for meal cheques to be delivered to traders in the country. Thanks to bar codes, the investigators hope to locate the thieves or their associates from the black market.
With regard to workers who were to receive these benefits, there is no need for panic. They will receive their good meal cheques but with some delay, the time it takes to reprint them.
