Italy, Florence - solidarity with Silvia, Costa and Billy

During the night between 30 April and the first of May, a group of comrades took advantage of the crowds in the streets (for the dreadful Florentine "white night") to demonstrate solidarity to the three comrades arrested in Switzerland. Taking over the stage in the crowded piazza Strozzi, the comrades unrolled a banner ("Freedom for Silvia, Costa e Billy, Solidarity to the Rebels of the Earth. (A)") and read a leaflet calling for the urgency of the struggle against capital and its products (wars, environmental devastation, biotechnologies), which was greeted with surprising sensitivity by those present. The banner was left on a barricade erected during the night to block the traffic in a narrow street in the centre. Writings in solidarity with the arrested comrades appeared on a number of walls in the city centre and on the windows of some banks.

At the moment Costantino is in the prison ‘Amtshaus Bern’, Luca is in the prison of Thun and Silvia is in the prison of Biel.
