BRUSSELS - The Federal Police is sounding the alarm. The number of armed robberies in Brussels has risen by 30 percent in the first three months of 2010 compared to the year before. 138 armed robberies in three months which means 5 robberies every day. Also in other cities like Antwerp, Charleroi and Liège robberies have risen by 20 to 30 percent, but the use of war weapons remains the "sad monopoly of Brussels" said the Brussels chief of police Glenn Audenaert. Kalashnikovs would now be for sale to anybody in Brussels for less than 2000 euros. 4.05.2010
