It was when the demo reached the junction of Jean Jaurès and Course Berriat that the fun really began. At this point was one of the new cameras installed by the town hall. Very quickly the banners form a protective circle around the camera. The demo places itself among the banners. A ladder is placed against the pillar holding the camera. Then someone climbs up, holding a hammer. Just a few knocks for the dome to go flying, and the camera it contains falls to the ground.
Applause and hurrahs all round!
