27.01.2011 - SINT-JORIS-WINGE - During the night, around 3 'o clock, gangsters crashed a car into the front window of a jewellers shop. They put the car on fire, which burned down the whole place, as well as another shop next to it. Two more shops suffered serious damage. Police don't know how much jewellery was stolen, since the whole store was destroyed.
When the car rammed into the store, the alarm went off, but the gangsters had already fled when police hurried to the place.
[We would also like to remember that in December 2010, a youngster who was robbing a jewellery store was shot death by the owner.]
